There's nothing like the taste and aroma of a home cooked meal. And there's nothing like a home cooked meal made from Premium Grass Fed Angus Beef and Beef Products from WILL-DOR RANCH. To ensure that you enjoy our products to the fullest, Beef from Will-Dor Ranch is:

                       Processed and Inspected at a Provincially Licensed Facility. You will notice the                                     plant name and/or number on the packages of meat. Always look for this when                                       buying 'farm' produced meat. It ensures that the meat has been inspected and                                       properly handled. Because meat from Will-Dor Ranch is processed at an inspected                               facility it can be purchased by the piece, packs (see below), half or whole. 

                           The Alberta government has made it so farmers can butcher animals on their farm                                 today, but there are a number of conditions that must be met and a customer must                                 purchase the entire animal. Because this meat is uninspected, it is for personal use                               only and cannot be shared with others.

                    Inspected LIVE by a provincial meet inspector to ensure the animal is HEALTHY.

                        Dry Aged for 14 to 21 days. This reduces moisture content in the meat resulting in                                  less waste and shrinkage. This also makes for a unique cooking experience.

                        Fast frozen immediately after processing and maintained at a temperature of -18                                    degrees Celsius or lower eliminating the risk of prematurally thawing and reducing                                the risk of 'freezer burn'.

 

When preparing and eating Angus Beef and Beef Products from WILL-DOR RANCH, you will notice:

                        The beef typically cooks faster. Meat will actually 'fry' not 'boil' because it has been                                dry aged. Meat will also continue cooking from the heat to the table or while it is                                     resting.

                         It is well marbled, but has little excess fat.

                         It has been well trimmed.

                         FULL OF FLAVOUR.

 

GRASS FED Angus Beef is:

                        Leaner and thus lower in calories.

                        Has higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and the Omega 3 Fatty Acids.

                        Has higher levels of Vitamin E (lowers the risk of heart disease and cancer) and                                     Vitamin K (which lowers arterial calcifications and supports brain health).

PURCHASING GRASS FED ANGUS BEEF and BEEF PRODUCTS

Not only are the Grass Fed Angus Beef and Beef Products from WILL-DOR RANCH great tasting, but they are economical too.

                       The meat is dry aged resulting in very little shrinkage or waste.

                       The animals are 'grown', not force fed, the meat is well marbled with little excess fat.

                        We have very high expectations when it comes to how the meat is trimmed. Meat is wrapped in brown                               paper for the most part because of cost and difficulty in transporting beef that is shrink wrapped in the                                 freezers.

 

Grass Fed Angus Beef and Beef Products are available by the piece, in a number of different convenient freezer packs, as well as by the half or whole. BEEF ROASTS: Sirloin Tip, Boneless Chuck Roast, Boneless Cross Rib Roast, Round or Rump Roasts

GROUND BEEF: Lean to X-Lean (about 13% fat) in convenient 1 lb (approximate) packages

STEAKS: Steaks are cut to 1 inch thickness, 1 per package. T-Bone Steak, Rib Steak, Rib Eye, New York Striploin, Chuck Steak, Top Sirloin Steak. We do not carry Minute Steak because of the health hazards associated with tenderizing.

                                    LAMB

Lamb is in limited supply and generally only available in August or December. Lamb must be ordered at least two months in advance. Selling by the whole only.

  • Whole Lamb cut and wrapped please ask about current prices. Must be ordered in advance! Includes chops, rack of lamb, ground lamb, shank and leg roast, shoulder roast, lamb stew.

                          FREE RUN EGGS

                              Eggs are a rich, brown color.

                              Eggs are uninspected and are labelled as such. This means they are for personal use only. They                                        are not for use in restaurants or in the making of food that is meant for sale such as baking.

                              Eggs are picked (at least once daily), cleaned, sanitized, put into cartons and stored at a                                                     temperature of 6 degrees Celsius. They are transported in a fridge or coolers at a maximum                                               temperature of 7 degrees Celsius for your safety. FYI, only unwashed eggs can be stored at                                               room temperature. Eggs from Will-Dor Ranch must be refrigerated.
